The Passacaglia and Fugue in C Minor are the source of inspiration for the program by the accordion duo TOEAC. Pieternel Berkers and Renée Bekkers have been planning the Passacaglia for about 10 years, so it is time to add the Fugue to the repertoire as well.

An arrangement of the famous Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 has also been on our wish list for quite some time. It puts the accordion in a completely different light. Where the Passacaglia & Fuga, as an organ work, provides a grand, serene, monumental sound, the Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 sounds light-hearted and virtuoso, with the accordions perfectly expressing the colorful orchestral palette.

Finally, a new composition has been created. Benjamin de Murashkin wrote a new work inspired by the Brandenburg Concerto No. 3. The new composition has a basis in a classical baroque suite form, in which old dance forms are given a new look. Energetic rhythms take place between passages of spherical softness.
