Renée Bekkers gooit alle tuttige associaties met haar instrument overboord. Haar samenspel is zo krachtig dat de dansers van LeineRoebana bijkans van het podium worden geblazen.
The driver for the CD is JS Bach's masterpiece 'Passacaglia and Fuga'. A work that TOEAC has carried with it for years and is intertwined with countless precious memories. As a loyal companion on concert tours worldwide, while admitting to the coveted Soloist Class in Copenhagen.
The modern accordion developed about two hundred years after Johann Sebastian Bach's death, but the instrument is perfect for his compositions. On their fourth album, BEN BY BACH, TOEAC presents two of his works; the Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor (BWV 582) and the Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major (BWV 1048). In between these two works, Suite Dreams, a new work by Benjamin de Murashkin, sounds. A contemporary suite inspired by the original baroque form by this musical jack-of-all-trades with whom TOEAC built a warm friendship through multiple compositions, a shared student time in Copenhagen and other adventures.
A collection of works of Scandinavian origin, in which they present the accordion in a broad spectrum.
Toeac's first CD is a tribute to the repertoire of Scandinavia, where they studied from 2009-2014. The repertoire and celebrates their experiences in Denmark. It embraces multiple genres and serves as a “homecoming” after a multi-year stay in Scandinavia.

Petrushka is one of TOEAC's favorite works and should therefore not be missing on the next CD. In addition, Moving Rhythms includes tangos by Piazzolla, which TOEAC has been planning for years and which, due to popular demand, are finally being released on CD. Two works were written especially for TOEAC by Gerard Beljon and Benjamin de Murashkin.
'The two faces of Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky and Meijering'
We are all familiar with the Mussorgsky Painting Exhibition, but now finally on the Russian instrument par excellence: the BAYAN, or the accordion! The accordion duo TOEAC adapted this fantastic work and invited composer Chiel Meijering to provide his personal addition to Mussorgsky's paintings. While Hartmann's paintings inspired Mussorgsky for his masterpiece, Meijering was guided by Mondrian's lines.
A musical museum that connects the Russian and Dutch worlds through TOEAC and its accordions.
